Just 50 minutes from downtown Wellington or 20 minutes from Paraparaumu township walk in ancient forest with giant trees, prolific ferns, wild orchids and feeding Kereru (New Zealand Wood Pigeon).

Visit one of the best stands of Nikau palms in the lower North Island. The Nikau is a striking palm and this remnant of Nikau's and Kohekohe's look like they belong in the tropical forest of Australia or Asia.

Explore the Waikanae Estuary - a national treasure as a wildlike habitat. More species of coastal birds visit the Estuary than any other site on the Wellington coast.

Our  bush walks are off the beaten track, in places largely unvisited by tourists and cater for all levels of fitness.

Full day bush and estuary walk: Adult $120, Senior $110. Children under 15 by arrangement. Lunch supplied.

Half Day Bush or Estuary Walk: Adult $75, Senior $65, Morning or afternoon tea/coffee supplied.
